PRODUCTION BLOCK

The main plant should be located in the South - West sector of the plot leaving more open space towards North and East sides . The production block should be square or rectangular in shape. A pathway all around the production block is suggested for it not only ensures access but also stimulates an even flow of energies.

Heavy machinery should be installed towards the South and West side of the production block and lighter machinery towards North and East. Electrical motors, Main switch board etc. should be in South - East of the production block. Raw material, heavy materials should be stocked in South or South - West of the production block. It is important to keep the North - East as clean and light as possible. 

ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK

The administrative block should be in the north of the factory.  The height of the production block should be higher than the height of the administrative block.  The factory should be built in a way that it is highest on the South and West sides.  In case of slanting roofs, the slope should be from West to East and from South to North.  Care should be taken that the structure does not touch the compound walls.

The layout of the office or administrative block can be as per the Vaastu rules governing offices.  Chairman, directors, senior officers can be in the South - West of the administrative block.  Cashiers, Accountants can be in the North and Research and Development Department can be in the North - East sector of the administrative block.  Sales staff can be in the North - West sector of this block.  An officers' canteen / pantry can be in the South - East of the administrative block.

General Plan of an Industry

The basic guidelines of having heavier construction in South - West sector should be followed in a factory's plan also. Heavy machinery should be installed towards the South and West and lighter machinery towards North and East of the production block .

Boilers, transformers, electrical equipments, furnaces, acid tanks, canteens should be installed in the South East sector of the factory. Chemicals, septic tanks, water treatment plants can be in the North - West or the South East sectors. The transformers, furnaces, acid tanks etc. should be at a distance of 1-2 feet from the compound wall. The pantry, boiler, furnace etc. are best located along the South - East to harness the element of fire. Their placement in North - East and South - West sector leads to various problems, like loss of wealth, closure of factory and lack of growth.

Production flow

heavy machinery should be installed in the South - West sector of the production block and lighter machinery should be towards the North and East.  This ensures smoothness during the production.  As per Vaastu, the production flow should always be from South to the North.  For non - metallic objects, production flow should be from West to East.  Raw material can be placed in the South - West of the Production block.  Products in process and semi - finished goods can be in the center of West sector and finished products ready for delivery may be placed in the North - West.

 

Staff Quarters

The staff quarters for the workers should be located between West and North - West or between North and North West.

The accommodation for senior managerial staff can be between South and South - East.  Avoid locating the staff quarters in the North - East as it will add heaviness  towards this sector.  Moreover, the toilets provided along with the staff quarters will pollute the most auspicious zone of the plot.  Workers quarters in South - West are also not recommended because they will become too dominant and powerful if placed in this sector. 

GUARD ROOM 

Security personnel should be posted facing the North or the East.  The guard / security room can be in the South of North - East if the gate is in the East of North - East or West of North - East if the gate is in the North of North - East.  For problems like pilferage and thefts, activity in South - East needs to be checked. 

Main gate in the fourth grid on Eastern side named Mahendra.  The guard room can be located towards the right of the main entrance so that the security staff is facing North.

Weighing Scale

 The weighing scale can be placed in the central East or central North near the factory gate.  The scale should be away from the compound walls.

Tips For Industries 

  • The major construction should take place in the Southwest portion of the plot . 

  • There should be more of open space on the Northern and Eastern sides of the plot .

  • The right place for the installation of overhead water tank is Northeast zone . On the other hand , the underground water storage ( sump ) should be positioned in either the North - East or the North direction . 

  • The ideal place for storing the raw material lies in the Western portion . For the finished goods , the appropriate place is the one lying on the Northwest side of the plot . 

  • The directions recommended for the placement of doors are : Northeast or East or Northwest . 

  • If you wish to maintain a nice lawn , then North and East portions of the plot are appropriate . 

  • The ideal location for constructing administrative area is Northern or Eastern side . 

  • For staff quarters , the right place is the one lying in Southeast or Northwest zone . 

  •  

  • According to Vaastu shastra , the cabin of the important executives of the factory should face the North direction .

  • while their sitting position should be in the Southwest zone . Ensure that all the staff and workers of your factory face East and their activity zone is positioned on the Central , Northern and Eastern zones . 

  • Vaastu shastra experts say that important decisions should be taken in the confines of Southwest zone . Executives facing the North are also benefited . 

  • The R & D department of the industry should carry on its activities in the Northeast zone . 

  • It is believed that all the activities pertaining to accounts and legal procedures of the organization should be confined to East zone . 

  • Toilets , canteen and retiring room can be positioned in the West zone of the organization . 

  • If it is a dairy plant , the plastic bags should be stored in South . If you are operating a cold drinks or ice cream plant , make sure that the fridge and other cooling plants are located in the South - East corner or in the South corner . 

  • In case of a chemical factory , the boiler should be installed in the South - Eastern corner or in the South .
